Erik Vlemmix (NL) studied Information and Communication technology at the University of Breda (2012) and graduated from the Information Design department of the Design Academy Eindhoven in 2015. In his graduation project Explorative Public Library Search Engine, Vlemmix did research on the importance of public libraries in the age of Internet and mass-information. With the help of new technologies he developed alternative search engines that select information based on quality instead of economic value. By creating a search system that is relevant for both physical and digital book collections, he wants to offer libraries a renewed societal role in the sharing of knowledge.
On the occasion of MANUFACTUUR 3.0 Erik Vlemmix works together with Henrique Nascimento on the project Guidelines for the human factor.
