Girls like us
GIRLS LIKE US is an independent magazine founded in 2005 by Jessica Gysel (BE). Through stories, essays and visuals, the magazine wants to turn the spotlight on an international expanding community of women within arts, culture and activism. With a different focus in each issue, the magazine explores themes such as objectification (#1), work (#4), the body (#7) and family (#8). GIRLS LIKE US is produced in Amsterdam and Belgium and distributed worldwide.
Within the context of MANUFACTUUR 3.0, GIRLS LIKE US will explore if (feminist) collaborative practices can generate production alternatives in(between) and outside the arts & design world.
