Rotor is a collective of architects, designers and artists, founded in 2005, from a common interest in the material flow in industry and construction.
Rotor is active both on a theoretical and a practical level. They design and realise architectural projects, with a sustainable approach and respect for the given context. Next to that, Rotor develops critical reflections on material resources, design and waste by means of exhibitions, publications and conferences. Almost 10 years after their founding, they initiated the company Rotor Demolition, specialised in the dismantling of buildings and the selling of reusable materials.
In the context of MANUFACTUUR 3.0, Rotor initiates a research project at Ford Genk, with the aim of finding a new destination for the materials and parts that remain on the site.
