Knives and Folks: introductory lecture Åbäke - exhibition winter 2012
Frans Masereel Centrum and Z33 launched in November 2011 an ‘open call for curatoral proposals for an exhibition on graphic arts’. A coproduction of Z33 and Frans Masereel Centrum which will result in November 2012 in an atypical exhibition on graphic arts in Z33.
The graphic design collective Åbäke was selected by an international jury as the curator of the exhibition that will run from November 18, 2012 – February 16, 2013 in Z33. They will collaborate for this project with 7 international artists: Jochen Dehn (FR), Adva Zakai (IL/BE), Yair Barelli (IL/FR), Sally O’Reilly (UK), Aurélien Froment (FR), Matthew Rogers (UK), Vladimir Ivaneanu (BE).
Åbäke and co. are from August 13-24 on a residency period at the Frans Masereel Centrum, where they will develop further their curatorial proposal in the technical workshops of the centre.
