ACCESS in PHL - as part of Architecture of Fear
ACCESS is an anonymous tracking system that follows ignorant passers-by with a spotlight and a sound beam. It combines the social control of contemporary surveillance technologies with our desire for entertainment and manipulation. ACCESS travels around the world from one public place to another. And its next destination is Hasselt...
From November 8 to 25,
ACCESS will be on view at PHL, in the public hall in Building D (Elfde-Liniestraat, opening hours: 8am - 8pm). The tracking system is activated and controlled by the visitors of the ACCESS website www.accessproject.net
On Tuesday November 8 at 6pm, ACCESS will be opened at 8pm with an A-Z Lecture of Marie Sester about her work, followed by an opening reception.
ACCES is part of the Z33 exhibition Architecture of Fear
in cooperation with Z-OUT – art in public space & PHL
