Work Now - meer

The current economic context turned “work” into a hot topic. But whether in crisis or times of prosperity, the position “work” has taken up in life and society is an important and influential one. The (art)works in Work Now each highlight and question in their own way the how and why of “work” in our society. Themes such as flexibility, mobility, motivation, meaning and the work-life balance are addressed.

Do we want to believe and agree with the presented discourse around “work”? Do we have to look for and find meaning and identity in our job? Is there only a place for creative, self-disciplined and flexible people on the job market, or can “work” be filled in differently? What would this then mean for the overall economic model and our society?

Whether or not you will keep the same perspective on “work” after the summer of 2009 is of course entirely up to you!
