We are already looking forward to the new edition of FORMAT. With this biennial coaching programme for designers & architects, Z33 wants to fully support upcoming talent. The brand new laureates have just been announced. In the coming months, they will be working on a group exhibition on the theme of ‘water’. It will be on view in Z33 in 2023.
Living with water
FORMAT 2023 revolves around water. Our relationship with water is one of extremes: we are increasingly – simultaneously – faced with water shortages and floods. Furthermore, we use and consume it without thinking. In addition to our personal water consumption, an enormous amount of water is used by the bio-industry, chemical production, textile manufacturing and housing. The designed world around us is thus an invisible large consumer of water.
