Dirk De Wachter (Wilrijk, 1960) is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist, and head of the Department of Systemic and Family Therapy at the University Psychiatric Centre of KU Leuven, Kortenberg campus. He is a trainer and supervisor both in Belgium and abroad, and the author of bestsellers such as *Borderline Times*, *The Art of Being Unhappy*, and *Love and Waiting: An Attitude to Life*.
