Artist, art historian, curator, art teacher: Iris Paschalidis is all of these. She first studied painting at Sint-Lukas in Brussels and Sint-Lucas in Ghent, then went on to become an art historian at Ghent University, worked at the Arts and Heritage Agency, and served for many years as Head of Collections at S.M.A.K. She is currently a lecturer and programme coordinator in the Fine Arts department at the PXL-MAD School of Arts in Hasselt. Her work explores how stories, culture and memory continue to resonate across generations.
