Yufei Gao (NL, °1993) is a storyteller and artist-researcher. She approaches complex subject matters with an absurd sense of humor and playfulness, often conveyed indirectly through the lens of everyday objects and small details.
Her work encompasses the practices of filmmaking, writing, coding, and installation, composed conceptually by interests in storytelling, poetry, politics, and philosophy. Her moving image works often take the form of immersive installations with physical objects crucial to the narratives.
