Anderland
The exhibitions Before our eyes and Anderland share the same premise: looking is never neutral.
Both exhibitions draw inspiration from today’s political reality. Before our eyes does so by carefully selecting what is shown and what is not. Anderland, on the other hand, depicts a place that does not exist. The teachers at knst.beeld present a colourful landscape where you can dream about forms and matter.
One shows what is, the other what could be. In this way, our gaze is sharpened on our possibilities, but also on contemporary society. Art demands choices, attention and imagination.
