Opening night new exhibitions

With All The Gin Joints and Remo Perrotti ft. Steven De bruyn

On Saturday, September 28th, we’ll open our doors from 7 PM onwards. Discover two new solo exhibitions and enjoy performances by DJs All The Gin Joints and Remo Perrotti featuring Steven De bruyn.

Lucy McKenzie

The Brussels-based Scottish artist Lucy McKenzie is inspired by early forms of entertainment, such as 19th-century moving panoramas and dance organs, precursors to modern cinema and electronic music. For Z33, she has created impressive new installations that combine painting, sculpture, and fashion.

Anna Godzina

Acoustically aware, Moldovan artist Anna Godzina locates her materials and inspiration in disparate landscapes. At Z33, Godzina’s sculptures are activated using with simple devices like motors or magnets.

Music

Between exploring the new exhibitions, you can enjoy music by jazz DJ Ben Moors, also known as All The Gin Joints. With a keen ear for rare vinyl gems, he selects tracks from both classic icons and contemporary talents in the jazz world. Expect a mix of jazz, hard bop, bebop, Latin, and bossa nova from the ’50s, ’60s, and early ’70s, combined with modern bands that fit the vibe.

We’ll close the evening with DJ Remo Perrotti. He uses the DJ set as an instrument, expertly shuffling and driving the atmosphere, blending cinematic and ethereal sounds with mysterious and exciting vibes. The magical virtuoso harmonica of Steven De bruyn enhances the cinematic mood with surprising live effects, from tremolo to techno, perfectly complementing Lucy McKenzie’s Super Palace exhibition.
