Local and seasonal
Heleen Timmermans, author of The Soup Bible and founder of Zuppa, is expanding her horizons. Besides soup, she now brings more goodies to the Z33 café. Expect pure flavours, harvested locally and at the pace of the seasons. Sustainability and short supply chains are paramount in our choice of suppliers. Think for instance of sourdough bread from Brijosh, fruit and vegetables from the Wroeter and CSA farmstead the Blokhuis, dairy and cheese from Catharinadal and Melkerhei, meat from butcher Geerts, the exclusive Z33 beer from brewery Hophemel, etc.
A café and terrace with the most beautiful view in Hasselt
Architect Sarah Poot & interior designer Dries Otten chose the feel of a grand café with a view of the greenery in their design. On nice days, our terrace therefore invites you to enjoy the newly renovated Beguinage – Hasselt’s most beautiful place.
Opening hours
Open Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm. Closed on Monday and Tuesday. Z33 café can be accessed without visiting the exhibitions of Z33.
