About

Brussels

Maxime Denuc is an electronic music composer based in Brussels. He co-founded Plapla Pinky, a duo noted for their atypical approach to club music, somewhere between rave, baroque and contemporary music. As a solo artist, his work has focused on church organs. In 2020, he released Solarium on the Belgian label Vlek, an organ-centric venture that enlightens the social dimension of listening to organ music. Two years later, he composed Nachthorn, for midi-controlled organ on the main instrument of St. Antonius Church in Düsseldorf. The record was critically acclaimed, notably by Boomkat which selected it in the ten record of the year 2022. It has also been chosen as the soundtrack for the Chanel Haute Couture fashion show in January 2023. In 2024, Maxime Denuc will be presenting a new robot-driven project which he created in colaboration with Brussels-based engineers from Bots Conspiracy and Shakmat, further exploring the automation of performing music on the organ.
