Jasper Rigole – 81 things I thought I had forgotten

Over the past ten years, Jasper Rigole has been working on the fictitious Institute IICADOM (The International Institute for the Conservation, Archiving and Distribution of Other people’s Memories). Z33 presents in collaboration with the Flemish Arts Centre De Brakke Grond, the first major overview of this project, unlocking its archive of collections of objects, 8 mm films, pictures, tapes and other found footage and discoveries. In a unique presentation personal and collective memory, institutional accuracy and pure chance, fact and fiction intertwine.

Jasper Rigole – 81 things I thought I had forgotten is a collaboration between Z33 and Flemish Arts Centre De Brakke Grond in Amsterdam. The research project is supported by Hogeschool Gent (KASK) in the framework of Jasper Rigole’s PhD in the Arts.
A publication will accompany the exhibition.
