‘Daydream’ performance with Valentine Maurice and Soundscapes by Nanno Simonis
Every second Thursday evening of the month, Z33 opens its doors wide. From 6 p.m. you can visit all the exhibitions for free, have a drink in the bar and on top of that we provide a variety of activities. In the coming months, the nocturnes are all about the theme of the exhibitions: water. We will start with a soothing nocturne focusing on the healing power of water.
Performance | ‘Daydream’ – Valentine Maurice
Valentine Maurice’s work explores the influence of technology and screens on sleep transition. It shows the relationship between our bodies, our biological perception of time and the perception of time in the daytime hustle and bustle of the performance society. Throughout the evening, designer Valentine Maurice performs her ritual several times.
The performances (duration 15 min.) start at 19:30, 20:00, 20:30 and 21:00 and take place in the exhibition space of Healing Water
Soundscapes | Nanno Simonis
Nanno Simonis is both a visual and sound artist. In his practice, Simonis plays poetically with the tension between grand or even overwhelming phenomena and the personal experience of them. For example, with his work To Water Is to Be, he demonstrates the sublime and at the same time tranquilizing power of water in the exhibition Healing Water.
The soundscapes can be experienced continuously in the bar between 19:00 and 22:00.
