On request of Z33 Gabriel Lester made a major, three-dimensional installation in the historic beguinage houses of Z33.
The most dramatic intervention he has used to redefine the spaces is a bridge that he designed with architect Arnaud Hendrickx. The floating ramp hovers just above the ground floor of the first space and takes you straight up to the first floor of the second space.
Gabriel Lester plays a bizarre architectural game in the spaces using techniques borrowed from the cinema, stage design and the theatre.
