Nocturne 10 November 2022

Lecture Superdiversity: an ideal or a necessity?

Every second Thursday of the month, Z33 opens its doors wide. Starting at 6pm, you can visit all exhibitions for free, and we also provide a variety of activities each month. In November, a lecture on superdiversity is scheduled.

Lecture Superdiversity: an ideal or a necessity? – 7pm (In Dutch)

With Fitting In, we show how rich our society can be when we are open to the many voices around us. Is this an ideal to pursue or a necessity? To try a different angle, we invite biologist and TV personality Dirk Draulans. What about the animal kingdom, are you more likely to survive if you jump out? How important is biodiversity for evolution of life? His lecture will be followed by a panel discussion with curators Branko Popovic and Dirk Somers of the exhibitions Fitting In and Composite Presence, moderated by Adinda Van Geystelen, Artistic Director of Z33. (in Dutch)

The lecture costs 10 euros if you are over 26, for – 26-year-olds, people with disabilities, teachers’ card, UitPAS Hasselt and groups of 10 or more there is a discounted rate of 5 euros. Registration is mandatory, using the form below. All exhibitions are free to visit that evening.

In collaboration with De Serre, we are taking over the bar. Curators Stefanie De Bakker and Mathies Wouters look for common ground with the exhibition in music and performances.
