Hollander studied Fine Arts at HKU University of the Arts Utrecht and was on the residency program of Maastricht’s Jan van Eyck Academie in 2016-2017. His work includes installations, sculptures, texts, and books he has published himself.

Currents #8

Organized by Marres in Maastricht (NL) and Z33 in Hasselt (BE), Currents is an annual group exhibition with work by recently graduated artists from academies in Belgium, Germany, and the south of the Netherlands. The exhibition is part of a broader support program that focuses on training, networking, and professionalization. The exhibition takes place alternately at one of the two organizing parties.

In eight years, Currents has become one of the most important platforms for talent development in visual arts in the Netherlands, Belgium, and the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia. In recent years, more than 120 artists from twelve academies in the Euroregion have participated and benefited from an even larger number of workshops, fundraising days, and activities. Around 20 young curators were involved in putting together Currents, giving them a fantastic springboard for their future career.

Currents #7: Birds of a Feather is open for visitors until 2 August 2020.

Currents #8 will run from December 16, 2020 to February 7, 2021 at Marres, House for Contemporary Culture in Maastricht.
